When I heard Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were guest preachers at a nearby church, I decided to go there and check them out in person.

As soon as I sat down, Reverend Sharpton came over to me. I don’t know why, maybe it was because I was the only white person in the church.

He laid his hands on my hand and said: “By the will of Jesus the Lord Almighty, and the will of God, you will walk today.”

I told him I was not paralyzed.

Then Jesse Jackson came by and said: “By the Grace of God, and his Son Jesus, the Lord Almighty, you will walk today.”

Again I said that there is nothing wrong with me.

After the sermon I stepped outside and lo and behold…My Car Was Gone!

THE NEWS

Odd news from around the world

Medic used Chinese medicine method to save epileptic passenger: “AN AIRLINE passenger was saved from a life-threatening seizure — using only a spoon and a toothpick, reports The Sun. Air China staff panicked when they discovered a man on board foaming at the mouth in the throes of a terrifying seizure. But they thanked their lucky stars when a hero medic raced to the front of the plane to save the day after a desperate call for a doctor was made. Using a spoon to hold the man’s tongue down and prevent him from choking, quick-thinking Yu stimulated pressure points on his head using the toothpick. The method — which helps to “stimulate the brain” — is a popular remedy for seizures in Chinese medicine. Remarkably the makeshift op worked during the flight between the cities of Kashgar and Urumqi. The Asian Wire Report said the man was able to sit up and ask for water within minutes of Yu’s lightning-fast actions”

A bee that chews STONE!: “Scientists have discovered a new species of bee which makes its home by chewing its way through solid rock to create burrows in sandstone cliffs. The hardy bees chew through rock with their mandibles to create a hidey-hole, but this has raised questions as to why they go to such lengths to set up home. Burrowing into rock costs the bees vital energy and older female bees were also seen to have wear and tear on their mandibles from chewing the stone. The insects collect water and use it to weaken the sandstone, enabling them to chew through it more easily. The water helps to dissolve the crystals of calcium carbonate that cement the sediment together, enabling them to chew through it more easily. The researchers believe that the sandstone burrows are a longer-term investment, which not only offers protection from the elements, but can be reused by subsequent generations.

Gigantic hole that appears to be draining water from the Pacific Ocean: “It appears as if the Pacific Ocean is being drained away down a giant bottomless hole on the Oregon coast. The hole – big enough to swallow a large boat – looks like a feature on an alien planet. However, the seawater levels in the Pacific Ocean are actually perfectly safe, because the hole – called Thor’s Well, and sometimes the ‘gate to hell’ – is actually around 20 feet deep. At high tide water bursts upwards out of the well in spectacular fashion, an event that never fails to delight onlookers. According to Gary Hayes, from Traveloregon.com, Thor’s Well – located in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area near Yachats – probably started out life as a sea cave. ‘They begin as a sea cave and eventually the top of the cave collapses, leaving an opening where the tide surges from below to send water shooting upward with dramatic force.’”

Desperate father carries his sick baby daughter on his HEAD and wades for two hours through deep flooded waters to reach the nearest hospital in India: “A desperate father carried his sick baby daughter on his head and walked for two hours through deep floodwaters to reach the nearest hospital in India. Pangi Satibabu, 30, a farmer, from Kudumusare village in Andhra Pradesh, carried his six-month-old daughter above his head for three miles to the nearest health centre after heavy rainfall led to a deluge. Mr Satibabu was worried about his daughter’s high fever but all the roads connecting his village to other parts of the state and nearby hospitals were flooded. The little girl was eventually admitted to the Primary Health Centre in Chintapalli, where she was tested and treated for a viral infection. Dr Yerramsetty Venkatswararao said: ‘The child is still in hospital but is out of danger”

Man in China has his penis trapped in wedding ring for TWO DAYS: “Eye-watering images have captured the moment firefighters attempted to free a man after his penis became trapped in a wedding ring. The 18-year-old from Liuzhou, China’s Guangxi province had his penis stuck in the ring for two days before the pain became so unbearable that he called emergency services for help on September 13. He was taken to hospital where it took some 90 minutes for the man to be freed. It’s unclear what made him want to put the ring on his penis”
