In video posted on Facebook, Trina Hibberd filmed the snake stretching across the hat-stand, over a framed painting and around the doorframe about 4.30am Monday morning. “We’ve got a visitor, and it’s —-ing huge, I mean, it’s very big,” Ms Hibberd said. Ms Hibberd’s home is in Mission Beach, midway between Townsville and Cairns. Snake catcher David Goodwin said the 30kg serpent was the largest he had ever been called to deal with.
