A 24 year old boy seeing out from the train’s window shouted… “Dad, look the trees are going behind!”

Dad smiled and a young couple sitting nearby, looked at the 24 year old’s childish behavior with pity

Suddenly he again exclaimed… “Dad, look the clouds are running with us!”

The couple couldn’t resist and said to the old man… “Why don’t you take your son to a good doctor?”

The old man smiled and said… “I did and we are just coming from the hospital. My son went blind in childhood. He just got his sight back today”.

Odd news from around the world

Baby-sitter secretly filmed hitting two-year-old before stealing his food: “A nanny in Argentina is facing child abuse charges after she was secretly filmed hitting a baby and then stealing his food. The footage shows 25-year-old Eve Mantaras slapping and backhanding the cowering two-year-old, who is sat in his high chair. She then takes a plate of food that is meant for him and sits down to eat it in front of the hungry boy. The toddler’s mother Cristina Ceril had installed the secret camera in the family home in the city of Parana in the north east of Argentina and linked it to her smartphone. It came after she discovered a series of bruises on the youngster. Police and prosecutors now say they footage will be used in evidence as Mantaras faces criminal assault and child abuse charges. The mother added: ‘We always thought she was a bit lazy around the house but we never imagined for a second that she was violent too. ‘She actually stole my son’s food and then hit him for saying he was hungry. She is sick.'”

Is this Britain’s most pointless bus lane?: “Motorists in Essex have been left bemused by ‘Britain’s most pointless lane’ – a bizarre road layout which is not even long enough for the buses it was built for. The quirk in the road means cars and vans are forced off a stretch of straight road and onto a narrow ‘chicane-like’ bend in order to avoid breaking the law. Every week thousands of drivers have to make the awkward manoeuvre despite only a handful of buses being timetabled to come along the route each day. Following a series of accidents, the lane has now been branded a ‘hazard’ with motorists questioning what its purpose is. People living near to road say there have been a series of accidents which they believe have been caused by cars struggling to get through the narrow layout as they avoid the bus lane.

Woman gave up modelling for mining, and has made big money as a truck driver: “Shana Mooyman turned her back on a glamorous life as a model and swapped it for a job in the iron ore mines of Western Australia, which has earned her enough money to buy her three investment properties. The 25-year-old started modelling from a young age and often saw her face plastered on promotional nightclub and festival posters. Ms Mooyman, from Bunbury in Western Australia, made the unusual career switch at the age of 19 when she became a mobile plant operator at a mineral sands mine in Cataby. After six years behind the wheel of heavy machinery, Ms Mooyman, who is now a fully qualified operator, is adamant she can hold her own – despite working in such a predominately male industry. ‘Once I started I was earning more than I ever did locally and loved being outdoors all day. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else,’ she said. Now Shana has three investment properties and is hoping her successful stint at the mine will help her set-up a life with her partner. She said she was grateful for the opportunities given to her, but she realised it was not for everyone.”

Teenager’s shock after doctors use a PREGNANCY TEST to diagnose his testicular cancer: “A teenage boy has described the bizarre moment he was diagnosed with testicular cancer using a pregnancy test. Byron Geldard, from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, was given the test by doctors because the disease can cause the body to make the same hormone produced during pregnancy. After getting a positive result, the 19-year-old was given the devastating news he had the disease and began seven months of treatment. Now, after surgery and intensive chemotherapy, he is in remission – and has become an ambassador for Teenage Cancer Trust. Home pregnancy tests detect a hormone called beta human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) found in the blood and the urine which is produced by the developing placenta. Experts say beta hCG can also signal testicular cancer.

Silver coins and treasure dating back 2,300 years to Alexander the Great discovered in Israel: “A treasure trove of rare silver coins and jewellery that date from the reign of Alexander the Great have been discovered by cave explorers in northern Israel. The 2,300 year old treasures were found hidden in a narrow niche among pieces of broken pottery within the stalactite filled cave. They were spotted by three members of the Israeli Caving Club who had squeezed through the narrow passages at the entrance of the cave to explore inside. One of the spelunkers, Hen Zakai, spotted something shining on the cave floor. It turned out to be two ancient silver coins. Alongside the coins, the cave divers found a cloth pouch containing a handful of coins, rings, bracelets and earrings all made from silver and bronze. Archaeologists who visited the cave at the weekend say the coins were minted at the beginning of the Hellenistic Period during the reign of Alexander the Great. They believe they may have been hidden in the cave by local residents who fled there during the unrest that broke out following the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC.
